I may or may not have a diagnosable problem when it comes to peanut butter. Peanut butter and I are fairly comparable to Elf and syrup. If you don’t get that reference, you need to immediately go watch the movie, Elf, with Will Ferrell. Similar to peanut butter, you will not regret it. ANYWAY, this particular smoothie is one of my morning staples. I have this smoothie just about every morning. It is simple and quick to make (ya’ll know I don’t have tolerance for anything high maintenance), it is delicious, and it is good for you (if you source the ingredients properly)!
Total Time | Servings |
5 minutes | 1 |
Ingredients | |
1 banana 1.5 Cups Plain Yogurt (I use Brown Cow Plain Yogurt) 1/4 Cup (or more, to preference) Peanut Butter (I use any peanut butter that is just that, ONLY made from peanuts) 1/4 Cup Whole Milk (I use grassfed Organic Valley whole milk) 1 Scoop Collagen (I use Willy Street Co-Op Pure Collagen) 1 Scoop Protein (I use grassfed whey protein – chocolate flavor) Optional Modification: If you do not have, or do not want to start using, collagen and/or protein – no worries! You can create this smoothie without either or both.
Directions | |
Put all ingredients into a ninjabullet, or other blender. It doesn’t matter the order in which you add the ingredients to the blender. Then, blend. The length of blend is to your preference. Generally, the longer the blend, the thinner the smoothie. I know, I know. This recipe isn’t for the faint of heart. Pretty complicated. Depending on your preference, you can adjust the ingredient amounts to increase or decrease thickness. I tend to like my smoothies a little thicker, therefore, I use more yogurt and less milk. Of course, any adjustment to the amounts of ingredients will also impact the taste of the smoothie. |
